WHAT: Scheduled maintenance works by our ATL01 Data Center location provider

WHEN: Monday May 20th, 2024, beginning at 6pm and will conclude on Tuesday May 21st at 6am  

WHY: ATL01 data centre will turn down one Power Distribution Unit at a time in order to refeed and balance critical power for our customers. which we will experience a loss of critical power to just one feed at a time. At no time during this event will multiple power feeds be interrupted simultaneously. Customer equipment with redundant power supplies that are plugged into diverse (A & B) power strips should remain online.

IMPACT: 
During this time we do not expect any issues to occur. We are taking the decision to keep the ATL01 data centre in service during this maintenance window, however please note that should you experience disruption with lab devices hosted on ATL01, it is our recommendation to use the device refresh and reconnect buttons at short intervals to restore connectivity.

WHAT: Firewall patching in our UK (CDC01) data centre.

WHEN: Wednesday 15th May between 06:00 - 07:00 UTC.

WHY: To complete Firewall security patching in our UK Data Centre (CDC01). During this time the Firewalls will be required to failover and failback from Passive to Active modes as part of the maintenance activity. The exact times of the failovers are difficult to specify in advance.

IMPACT: During this maintenance window, we will be keeping the CDC01 data centre in service. During the failing over process learners connected to active Lab devices may need to use the Reconnect button to re-establish a connection to your lab devices. This action may be required one or many times throughout the maintenance period. Our ATL01 Data Centre will not be impacted at all during this time frame.

WHAT: Firewall patching in our Atlanta (ATL01) data centre.

WHEN: Wednesday 8th May between 06:00 - 07:00 UTC.

WHY: To complete Firewall security patching in our Atlanta Data Centre (ATL01). During this time the Firewalls will be required to failover and failback from Passive to Active modes as part of the maintenance activity. The exact times of the failovers are difficult to specify in advance.

IMPACT: During this maintenance window, we will be keeping the ATL01 data centre in service. During the failing over process learners connected to active Lab devices may need to use the Reconnect button to re-establish a connection to your lab devices. This action may be required one or many times throughout the maintenance period. Our CDC01 Data Centre will not be impacted at all during this time frame.

WHAT: Firewall Rebooting in ATL & CDC Data Centres.

WHEN: Wednesday 3rd April 2024 06:00 - 06:30 UTC.

WHY: During this time the Firewalls will be required to failover and failback from Passive to Active modes as part of the reboot/maintenance activity.

IMPACT: During this maintenance window, we will be keeping the ATL & CDC data centres in service. During the failing over process learners connected to active Lab devices may need to use the Reconnect button to re-establish a connection to your lab devices. This action may be required twice throughout the maintenance period.
